Year 7 CG Garden Project
In 7CG we are preparing our garden to plant crops. So far, we have removed the weeds, tilled the soil and added fertiliser and mulch. We will also be undertaking a soil testing exercise and studying the effects light, water and nutrients have on plant growth. We also aim to establish a composting program within the school.
Recently, renown local author, Stephanie Haslam and Wendy May, from Noosa Integrated Catchment Association, visited our school to lead students on a plant identification activity. A variety of local native plants were identified by the students and samples taken. These samples were then pressed by the students of 7CG and will be compiled to form a herbarium.
